Savory Pasticceria, then known as Savory Homemade Crepes, was established as a home-based cake business focusing on Mille Crepes cakes. Mille crêpes means ‘thousand crêpes’ in French and implies many layers of crêpe. Layer by layer time goes by and fast forwarding to 2017, Savory expanded the workforce and the product offering, refined the business model from an online retailer to a structured organisation with both retail and wholesale channels and, at last, secured strategic collaborations with successful point of sales.

After 4 years of challenges, growth and successes, Savory team decided to close the Australian chapter and opted for directing the business towards a different path. Moved by our passion and curiosity, we felt the necessity of exploring new recipes. We decided to spend several months in some of the most intriguing and inspiring regions of Italy, travelled from town to town, attended local courses and assimilated a "savory" share of the traditional Italian pastry handed down from generation to generation. This extraordinary culinary journey enabled us to learn the authentic recipes in the Italian way. Back to basecamp, our dream was to recreate what we learnt and to allow others to deep dive into a similar experience. Our ultimate ambition was to reinterpret and modernise some of the most iconic creations that made the history of Italian cuisine.

Invigorated by the experience gained and spurred by our spirit of adventure, we embarked on a new project and we are now ready to write our new chapter in Indonesia. In spite of these significant changes in the business, Savory consistently strives to adhere to the original dogma: innovation, premium quality and customer centricity.
